What is the Black Death?

The Black Death was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history. It’s a disease that killed millions of people. It killed over 100 million people. Is a zoonotic disease, circulating mainly in fleas on small rodents. The symptoms are enlarged lymph nodes, chills, headache, fever, and weakness. The Black Death mostly happened in Europe. It is often called the Great Plague. In Europe, the plague began in Italy and it spread quickly. There was no known cure, although several remedies, including placing toads on the red welts of the disease. Many people believed the illness to be a punishment from God. Some people blamed the Jews for causing the Plague.
