How Did The Black Death Happen

The rats came from Asia onboard cargo ships. It was caused by bacteria that passed into the human population when fleas, carrying infected blood from rats, bit people. (Yersinia Pestia). It started in Italy and spread quickly in the crowded, dirty towns and cities. It then spread throughout all of Europe.
